LU Online is Military Friendly!

It’s easy to see why military students make up one-third of enrollment at LU Online, as the school offers generous benefits to veterans, servicemembers and their spouses. Liberty participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, GoArmyEd and many other programs, and is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) network.

Eligible military students at Liberty can take advantage of:

Tuition discounts — Tuition discounted to stay within the TA per-credit-hour cap, which means little or no out-of-pocket expense. This applies to associate, bachelor’s, and master’s level programs, as well as the Doctorate of Education.

Book vouchers — Undergraduates can get $100-$400 in free books per term based on amount of credits taken.

College Credit awarded for Military Training — Liberty offers a free evaluation of military training and experience for college credit and a Military Accelerated Program (MAP) to maximize allowable transfer credits. All credit granted for military training is based on the American Council on Education (ACE) guide recommendations.

Dedicated military support office that certifies Tuition Assistance (TA) and GI Bill & Veterans’ Affairs (VA) Benefits

Technology Fee Waiver — All military students who enroll in at least 6 hours per term (in any combination of sub-terms) will receive a $150 technology fee waiver for the semester.

GoArmyEd® — As a GoArmyEd® LOI affiliate, Liberty University is preferred by Army students for offering specialized assistance and outstanding military benefits.

Air University Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) — Get within 60 credit hours of earning your bachelor’s degree! This unique program applies your associate degree credit hours from Air University toward your Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies (MLDS) degree from Liberty University.

Heroes Fund Scholarship — A Liberty University scholarship that provides tuition assistance for veterans wounded in the Gulf Wars and spouses of those killed in action during those conflicts.
